The club race tentatively scheduled for Sunday, June 17th has been cancelled. It was decieded at the May 31 meeting that the club would focus it 's energy on improving the facility's course conditions in terms of water and dirt. The idea of a club race will be revisited later in the season.
may 14/07
The track will be open every Wednesday and Sunday from here through til closing in October.
Wednesday hours: 5pm-dusk.
Sunday hours: 10am-5pm.
Check back here for special circumstances, but these posted hours will be the norm. If the weather is really storming, you might want to make a phone call to an executive member ("contact" heading) or do a last minuite website check, before making the drive up there. Typically at some point in the day the weather breaks and it usually makes for some sweet, dust free riding.

A group of kootenay riders attended the annual "DESERT 100" an hour(ish) drive farther from Spokane in Odessa, WA last weekend. The race is a higher speed affair which consisted of 2 - 50 mile loops that was taking fast guys 4+ hours to complete. About a thousand riders showed up and went at it on a mass start! It sounds like flat tires were the winner.
A special mention to the two KLR guys on the left; These guys seem to show up out of nowhere and really help out. A good time was had by all.

On Sat June 16th, we are planning to hold a motocross riding clinic. We'll do kids under 14 in the morning and then do the over 14 people in the afternoon. Atleast this is the format we are toying with.
We would love to hear members ideas on the subject, so let us know what you think. Instructors are tentatively Bruce Baker and Shawn Seminoff (providing one of them is healthy enough to ride); otherwise we will be scouting for demonstration riders. Look under the "contact" heading for ways to contact Bruce Baker with ideas.
The clinic is only open to 2007 paid members, so get 'em in. The cost for the saturday clinic will be around $50. Check this website for more details as they become available.
